Logo & Business Card

Logo

For the logo I really want to focus on simplicity and cleanliness. The reason for this is because I want it to represent my work since I personally like to produce work that have to those qualities. With simplicity it also makes it easier to remember and for a logo especially I think that would be an ideal quality.

Since my initials are double "B" I want to use that to my advantage as well as how my last name is Spanish for "good". I did so by tilting the "B" so that it looks like a pair of glasses and since I wear glasses it gives it a personal touch and I emphasized it more by adding the two dot design on the edge of the frames just like the ones I have. And as I mentioned before I want to use "Bueno" to my advantage and I did so by curving it into a smile.
For colors I wanted to use something that revolved around design so I decided to use a cyan color since it is one of the three main color groups in design.

Business Card

Just like my logo I want my card to look clean. Since there is only so much room to work on organization is key. I want to include contrast with the circle so I decided that incorporating a triangles would give it that. Since I am promoting myself as a graphic designer and not someone in the math field it should be sublet so that the design portion is more important than the shape.

With the logo, my name, title, and contact  I wanted to separate them so that they each are located in a certain part of the card in their appropriate groups. So I decided to put the logo on the right hand side since I want that to be seen first followed by may name and title and then leading to my contact information. My name was to be the next important part so that's why I made it all capital letters and a san-serif font since I wanted it to have a modern look. Because the contact information had smaller and thinner font it was going to get lost in the triangle background so I added a solid fill on the back followed with a blue stroke on top so compliment the design and color pallet.

For the back portion I wanted it to be very simple and still keep the color pallet and include the triangle theme as as well. So I placed the logo in the middle and added the triangles at the back. To use the triangles more effectively I made them face the logo leading the viewer directly to it.
